#7 Nail Art + Striping Tape Review

I wanted to wait til my nails fully grew out, but since I have nothing to do on a Friday evening, I decided to do some nail art!
What do you guys think? I stuck with a simple black nail polish & silver tape.
It took me about... 1 and a half hours, and this is only for my left hand! My right hand has no nail polish!

For the silver stripes, I used Silver Striping Tape which I ordered from Trade Me.
This tape actually came in a pack of 10:

I tried to take a clear picture of these tapes, but it was so hard. Mainly because my camera didn't know what to focus on - since these tapes are so thin. According to the TradeMe description, the colours are:
  • Silver, Gold, Laser gold, Green, Blue, Red, Purple, Rose, White & Laser purple
I must say, I'm very impressed with these tapes. The colours are really nice & they have an adhesive at the back so you can directly stick them on your nail.
I bought these off moderndeal and they are extremely fast with contact & shipping. I got these within 24 hours & they're located in Dunedin! I bought this pack of 10 for $6.99 + $2.99 Postage.
I see other sellers selling a pack of 10 for over $15! So it was a real bargain :)

These are the nail polishes I used in the nail art. From left to right:
  • Essie - Ridge filling base coat
  • Essie - Licorice
  • Sally Hansen - Maximum Growth plus as my top coat
The Essie ridge filling base coat is absolutely amazing! I have so many ridges on my nails that I can't buff away but this base coat fills the ridges up. So when I apply my coloured nail polish, it goes on extremely smooth! I'm very impressed. It also dries very fast! A+

That's it! One coat of Essie's RFBC, two coats of Essie's Licorice, Silver Striping Tape & one coat of Sally Hansen's MG to seal my nail polish! :)
